Igor Magalhães

Geoprocessing Analyst

Igor Magalhães is a forestry engineer and master's student at the Federal University of Viçosa, conducting research in remote sensing, data analysis, and modeling with a focus on tropical forests. He took advantage of academic and professional opportunities by participating in an international watershed management project in Central Europe, interning in geoprocessing at the Technical University of Prague, Czech Republic. Additionally, he gained valuable experience at Florestal Jr. Consulting UFV, where he worked as a commercial manager and supported the company’s field activities. Another notable experience during his undergraduate years was his internship at MRV Engenharia, where he worked on lot mapping, preparing neighborhood precautionary reports, and planning and controlling construction projects.

He also worked independently, managing the harvesting and sale of eucalyptus wood on small rural properties in the Viçosa region, Minas Gerais.
