The Itxawá Project, now certified, is the first REDD+ project on private land in Brazil to achieve this accomplishment.

Founded in 2016, Cercarbono is a reference in the voluntary carbon market, certifying and registering credits from climate change mitigation projects across more than 12 countries and three continents, using rigorous, clear, and well-contextualized methodologies.
